Parents can go for gold when they need it!

Nappy rash is one of the most common skin conditions of early childhood. Depending on the severity of nappy rash, signs can vary from a shiny patch of red, scaly skin to hot, sore, spotty red skin if it becomes infected.

The more severe cases of nappy rash can cause significant discomfort for your baby and we know: No parent likes seeing their baby suffer.

At Sudocrem, we create products that are effective and believe in doing everything we can to make your job as a parent as easy as possible. Our Sudosalve Nappy Rash Treatment Cream is specially formulated to help soothe and heal broken and inflamed skin. It contains both antiseptic and antibacterial properties, that can kill certain types of bacteria and fungi to help prevent any secondary infections.

Sudosalve is transparent on application and glides easily to avoid pulling baby’s sore skin. You only need to apply Sudosalve 2 – 3 times a day!

What is nappy rash?

Mild nappy rash is very common in the early stages of a baby’s life. At some point in the first two years, your baby will probably have a case of nappy rash. Usually, this is nothing to worry about and it will clear up quickly following treatment.

Sometimes, however, nappy rash can be more severe. Moderate to severe nappy rash is generally defined by health professionals as when there is moderate to severe inflammation covering an area of greater than 10% of the area covered by a nappy, with or without papules, oedema or ulceration.

Severe types of nappy rash can also be as a result of fungal or bacterial infection – unlike “regular”, mild nappy rash.

The key benefit of Sudosalve is that it contains both antiseptic and antibacterial properties, which have the ability to kill specific types of bacteria and fungi.

What causes nappy rash?

  • Wee in contact with baby’s skin
  • Ammonia released after wee and poo mix, inflaming the skin
  • Friction caused by the nappy rubbing against your baby’s delicate skin
  • Washing detergents not thoroughly rinsed out of reusable nappies
