The passion for pre-loved has never been so relevant, so ‘right now.’ More than simply a trend, it’s a new way of living - of being environmentally aware - with a feelgood factor thrown in.
No one understands this better than eco queen, Brogan Sommerville, Great British Sewing Bee’s 2022 finalist – she’s never happier than when customising second-hand clothes. Which is why Sudocrem has enlisted her help to launch and judge the Sudocrem Pre-Loved Awards 2023.
We are searching for the people and places that champion the win-win virtues of thrifting, who know that someone’s ‘unwanted’ is someone else’s treasure. Is your favourite charity shop or vintage emporium the perfect place for you to bag a unique bargain while participating in this circular economy? Are you – or someone you know – all for giving pre-worn clothes another moment in the spotlight?
Proving that second-hand stylishness is accessible to all, there are six categories in the Pre-Loved Awards, from Mum and Baby to Senior and Young Professional. There’s also Best Charity, Vintage Fair/Market, shop and Best Pre-Loved Online.
